The Postmaster Residence - restaurant reviews

New owners and a great range on the menu. Service was very attentive and keen to please, and one of the few restaurants I have been to where feedback on the meal was actively sought and appreciated. Sat outside for lunch on a nice spring day. I had the salmon and coriander quiche, which came with a salad, which was two small, very light and very nicely flavoured individual quiches. My partner had the spinach soup, also very good, which was served in a hollowed out large bread roll. Prices were very reasonable and we will be back to try out other dishes on the menu.

Postmaster's Residence Restaurant is located in Arrowtown, a suburban locale of Queenstown. A twenty minute drive will take you from the heart of Queenstown to this excellent diner. Most of the visitors to this restaurant are well impressed by the friendly service provided here. The staff are ever helpful and alert to attend to your needs.

One of the most famous eateries is the Postmaster’s Residence, a converted former house into a restaurant situated right next to a Post Office. Said to be one of Queenstown’s best places to eat, we booked in for this. They were busy but could accommodate our last minute booking if we dined early which as, tourists that had to get up very early the next morning, we were only too happy to do. Tables outside are in demand and as a last minute booking we get one near the fireplace which on this chilly evening (Queenstown is quite South on the South Island), is a blessing.
